Key prerequisites apply: an approved academic tenant, Phone System capability (included with some Microsoft 365 plans or available as an add-on), and appropriate emergency calling configuration. Zone 1 covers select countries/regions as defined by Microsoft rate tables. Centralize calling, voicemail, and call management within Teams while leveraging existing identities and compliance controls. Easy administration, number assignment, and call analytics are handled in the Teams admin center.
